Xenon Post

About

Post production built on production experience

Xenon Post was founded by Karl and Myles Conti — producers and filmmakers with over 20 years of experience across film and television production. We built the post house we always wished existed.

That background shapes everything about how we work. We understand the pressures of schedule and budget. We know what a broadcaster actually needs at delivery. We've been in the edit suite at midnight before a deadline, and we've sat across the table from financiers with a pitch that had to land. That experience is not incidental — it's the foundation of how we approach every project we take on.

We operate as an extension of the production, not a separate post vendor. That means clear communication, proactive problem solving, and a genuine investment in the outcome — not just the delivery of a service.

Our primary focus is long-form: feature films, television series, documentaries, and premium factual content. We don't chase volume. We take on a considered number of projects and give each one the attention it deserves.

We operate across Sydney and Perth, with the ability to support productions across Australia and work remotely with international teams.

A production-first approach

Built by producers, for producers

Most post houses are built by technicians. Xenon Post was built by producers — and that distinction matters. When you bring a project to us, you're working with people who have developed, financed, produced and delivered long-form content. We've navigated the same broadcaster conversations, funding body requirements, and delivery pressures that our clients face.

That experience means we can engage at the production level — not just the technical level. We contribute to decisions around workflow, schedule and budget in a way that serves the whole project, not just the post component. For independent producers looking for a post partner rather than a post vendor, that's a meaningful difference.

The name

Where the name comes from

The xenon lamp is the light source at the heart of a film projector — the thing that actually throws an image onto a screen. The name isn't a random choice.

Karl, Myles and Lucas Bradley — who is part of the Xenon Post team — all worked together in cinemas when they were starting out. Myles and Lucas were projectionists, physically handling film, lacing up prints, and operating the xenon lamps that projected them. That's where the three of them began making films together, and where the name came from.

There's a direct line from those projection booths to what Xenon Post is today — a genuine love of cinema, and a team that has been working together since before any of this existed.

How we work

Clear, reliable, and direct

01

We tell you what to expect

Before any work starts, we give you a clear picture of what the post process will involve — the schedule, the workflow, the cost, and the key decision points. No ambiguity.

02

We stay in your workflow

We adapt to the tools and processes your production uses. We don't require you to change your workflow to fit ours — we build around what works for your team.

03

We deliver what we say we will

If something changes — and in post, it always does — we communicate early and clearly. You'll never find out about a problem at the delivery stage that we knew about in week three.
